Enliven Web & Mobile Application
We designed a web application and accompanying mobile app for Enliven, a platform for corporate health & wellness programs.
Problem Statement
Our clients, dedicated to enhancing their employees' well-being, sought the ultimate health and wellness program. Research underscores the productivity and cost benefits of healthier employees, making wellness programs imperative. Their requirements were multifaceted: a flexible, customizable solution encompassing health tracking, chat with health coaches, interactive activities like health challenges, personalized content delivery, appointment scheduling for biometric screenings, HIPAA and 508 Compliance, third-party app integration (e.g., Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper), CMS, and the ability to be re-skinned to align with their branding. Furthermore, they needed it to be fully accessibility to ensure every employee could participate.

Solution
Enliven emerged as the comprehensive corporate health and wellness application, strategically built on .NET with a mobile app available on both Android and iOS. It offered extensive customization options, enabling clients to tailor health tracking, chat with health coaches, health challenges, personalized content delivery, appointment scheduling for biometric screenings, and more. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrated with third-party apps like Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, and Runkeeper, while also providing a robust CMS. The re-skinnable feature allowed for easy adaptation to various company brands.
Health Tracking
The health tracking feature includes exercise, sleep, water, nutrition, and steps tracking towards recommend goals. It supports both manual and automatic tracking, seamlessly integrating with third-party apps like Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper, and others.
Activity Cards
The customizable and configurable activity cards enable users to track their health, chat with health coaches, participate in health challenges, schedule appointments such as biometric screenings, and more.
Content Cards
Enliven delivered personalized content through content cards, which included videos, articles, webinars, and more. The delivery was tailored to recipients based on their health and wellness status. For instance, individuals dealing with high stress levels received content specifically addressing stress management.
Design Process
User-Centered Research: Extensive research and needs assessment were conducted to understand user requirements.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Design ideas were visualized through wireframes and prototypes.
User Testing: UserZoom was employed for testing, providing insights for design refinements.
Accessibility Integration: Meeting branding colors while adhering to accessibility requirements involved creating an accessible version of the client's palette when necessary.
Development
The application was built on .NET, ensuring a robust and secure foundation. The mobile app was developed for both Android and iOS platforms.
Testing and Quality Assurance
Design QA to ensure the the builds aligned with the intended designs.
Functional testing to identify bugs.
Accessibility testing to confirm everything was within compliance.
Adaptations to meet specific client branding while preserving accessibility.
Content reviews by the health experts to make sure everything was accurate.
Launch
It was launched in phases. The first was the early version of the web application. We later released the more robust version that included additional functionality such as the third-party app integration. The iOS app came afterwards and then finally the Android app.

Enliven delivered a branded, customizable health and wellness platform that educated employees on healthier practices and encouraged action. The program promoted employee well-being and productivity, aligning with research-backed benefits.

Enliven effectively resolved our clients' multifaceted challenges by delivering a fully customizable, branded, and accessible health and wellness application. It empowered employees to make informed, healthier choices, leading to improved well-being and heightened productivity within their organizations.
Future Plans
Though Enliven no longer exists, there were plans to continue ongoing enhancements and adaptations based on customer service inquiries, bug identification, and metric monitoring. This goal was to elevate Enliven to the forefront of corporate wellness solutions, continuously evolving to meet our clients' evolving needs.
